Iscon Video Imaging introduced its thermo-conductive infrared imaging systems at the American Correctional Association’s (ACA) 2011 Winter Conference.
The safe, highly-reliable scanning systems can virtually eliminate smuggling and trafficking of contraband hidden in clothing or glued to the body. In just 30 seconds, Iscon’s thermo-conductive, infrared technology produces real time, high-resolution, 360 degree whole-body scans without using radiation.
The Iscon systems are more accurate than intrusive physical pat-downs. The real-time images quickly reveal concealed objects that might not otherwise be detected including cell phones, thin plastic shanks, tobacco, liquids, wood, powder, pills and tiny metal objects such as silverware or keys.
Iscon’s thermal conductive infrared technology is a state-of-the-art imaging system that detects and processes a break in the established thermal balance between the clothing and hidden contraband. It quickly displays images that are created without using harmful radiation and superior to other technologies.
The Iscon Systems are available in three physical configurations and can be used together or separately for whole-body and close inspections.

This high-throughput, whole body imaging system completely scans four sides of the body in 30 seconds. It is safe reliable and less expensive than other whole body systems. The GameChangeIR is a portable infrared imaging system with a compact display terminal, patented scanner and platform using the same thermo conductive infrared technology. It is fast, thorough and portable used for close up scans of personal and sensitive places. The entire system fits into a small suitcase for mobile, spontaneous imaging at any location, entrance or time. It can be used as a standalone scanning device or in conjunction with metal detection.
The Mini Portal body imager is a perfect combination of the full-sized Iscon 1000D and the Iscon GameChangeIR, for locations with limited space. This device is manually operated but can complete a whole body scan or focus on specific suspicious areas in 30 seconds with no radiation and no privacy concerns.
